The working environment of LED outdoor lighting fixtures is relatively complex and harsh, affected by natural conditions such as temperature, ultraviolet rays, sand, and rain. For the packaging materials of LED fixtures, some use epoxy resin packaging, while others use silicone packaging. Compared to these two methods, epoxy resin packaging has poorer temperature resistance and is prone to aging over time; whereas silicone packaging has better temperature resistance and should be chosen based on the situation.
The heat sink is a very important component of LED fixtures, and both its shape and size, as well as the heat dissipation surface area, must be designed appropriately. If the heat sink is too small, it will cause the LED to operate at too high a temperature, affecting its luminous efficiency and lifespan; if the heat sink is too large, it will consume more materials and increase the product's cost. Therefore, an appropriate LED heat sink is very important.
For the heat dissipation materials of outdoor LED fixtures, the shell and heat sink are designed as a single unit, which is more beneficial for heat dissipation. Generally, aluminum or aluminum alloy, as well as other alloys with good thermal conductivity, are selected.
The sealing between the LED fixture's heat sink and lampshade must ensure waterproof and dustproof capabilities. Additionally, an anti-aging rubber pad should be placed between the lampshade and the heat sink, and then fixed with stainless steel bolts, achieving a sealed, waterproof, and dustproof design.
