Electrical performance (Electronics)

The optical performance of LED lamps mainly involves performance requirements related to luminous intensity, spectrum, and colorimetry. According to the industry standard "Testing Methods for Semiconductor Light Emitting Diodes", the main parameters include peak wavelength of emission, spectral radiation bandwidth, axial luminous intensity angle, luminous flux, radiation flux, luminous efficiency, color coordinates, correlated color temperature, color purity, dominant wavelength, and color rendering index. For commonly used white LEDs, color temperature, color rendering index, and illuminance are particularly important as they are key indicators of the lighting atmosphere and effect, while color purity and dominant wavelength generally do not have specific requirements.
Thermal performance (Structure)
The luminous efficiency and power supply for LED lighting are one of the keys to the LED industry. At the same time, the PN junction temperature of the LED and the heat dissipation of the housing are particularly important. The greater the difference between the PN junction temperature and the lamp body temperature, the greater the thermal resistance, leading to the wasteful conversion of light energy into heat energy, which can severely damage the LED. A good structural engineer must not only consider the structure of the lamp and the thermal resistance of the LED but also whether the lamp's shape is reasonable, fashionable, and novel, as well as its reliability, maintainability, and practicality. They must think from both the designer's perspective and the user's perspective when evaluating the product.
